Tea Tree Leaf Oil

Tea tree oil is produced through steam distillation. The leaves of the tea tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, are harvested and then subjected to high-pressure steam. This process releases the oil from the leaves, which is then captured and cooled, separating it from the water.
